Here we list some of the great reasons to visit North Norfolk this August. We list a few of things that we hope might appeal and can be an excuse for you to come and stay at Fakenham Fairways.
Historic show at Houghton by Britain’s greatest sculptor
Wednesday 1 May 2019 to Sunday 29th September 2019
What an opportunity to see some of this sculptor’s major works. Henry Moore lived from 1898 to 1986 and was one of the first British artists to become a global icon in his lifetime. He envisaged many of his works to be set in the open air. The grounds of Houghton Hall are the perfect setting for some of these pieces. However there will also be smaller works, models and etchings inside in the ground floor gallery spaces. He worked mainly in bronze but he also produced fibreglass replicas of some of his most iconic pieces, particularly for exhibition and two of these are on display at Houghton.
Houghton Hall is only 10 miles from Fakenham Fairways so why not book to stay for Henry Moore at Houghton Hall
